Food Defense Plan Implementation

The development of a Food Defense Plan identifies what measures are already in place and what are intended.  Training, evaluation, behavior change and gap-closing are required to fully implement the plan.

Periscope Consulting can support your food defense plan implementation with training, evaluation and vulnerability assessments.  We can also provide full-scale project management skills to implement the most challenging of action plans or most comprehensive rollout.

Notes:
plant walk-through and gap analysis have a lot of overlap, differing in the degree of detail with the gap analysis reviewing systems in addition to observed physical conditions.  You would choose one or the other.
The gap analysis and vulnerability assessment each have different focus; both can benefit the facility in different ways.  The gap analysis looks at a broad series of potential mitigation measures much like a review of food safety systems look at prerequisite programs.  The vulnerability assessment is more like a HACCP analysis, determining specific vulnerable operations within a facility and suggesting additional targeted mitigation measures for those operations.
