Food Defense Training

Perscope Consulting is on the leading edge of Food Defense training.  We have developed presentation material and exercises that are being used around the world by the USDA and FDA.
 
Our proprietary training exercises provided a guided-learning experience (learn by doing) that benefits the adult learner.  As a significant benefit, the participants can complete the exercises with a thorough, complete, and customized food defense plan.

Training and Workshop Experiences

  • Workshops in Peru, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, China, Panama and the Caribbean for the FDA and USDA, with foreign government, academic and industry participants. Workshop topics include Vulnerability Assessments, CARVER Plus Shock Vulnerability Assessment, Low-Cost Food Defense Measures, and How to Create a Food Defense Plan.

 

  • Public workshops in collaboration with the University of Arkansas and the FDA.

 

  • Development of a “Food Defense Plan Builder Tool” used by USDA and FDA to introduce Food Defense Plan concepts overseas.  A more robust tool is under development under contract to the FDA for domestic use.
